Bridging Cloud, On-Premises, Edge with XaaS
Key Points
- The presentation outlines an XaaS (Everything as a Service) control platform designed to unify and manage resources across public cloud, on‑premises, and edge environments.
- Clients are demanding a cloud‑operating model for on‑premises assets, extending IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS capabilities beyond the public cloud.
- IBM Cloud Satellite will be used to seamlessly bridge public and private infrastructures, enabling truly hybrid “Everything as a Service.”
- This platform supports IBM’s broader AI, Data, and Hybrid Cloud strategy by allowing hybrid data integration and AI service delivery across all locations.
- Viewers are encouraged to like, subscribe, and post questions in the comments for more related content.

Hi, I'm here to talk to you today about Everything as a Service, or XaaS.
So what we're going to do is talk to you about one: what we're building.
Secondly, we're going to talk about where the services are located.
And last, why?
What's in it for the client and the business partner?
So first, what are we building?
We're building an XaaS control platform.
That's going to bridge public cloud, on-premises, and edge locations.
The where?
Where these services are located are very important.
First, we all know about the services that are delivered in the public cloud.
Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, Software as a Service.
But what about on-premises?
Our clients are telling us they want to actually have a cloud operating model for their on-premises assets.
So Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, as well as Software as a Service.
But even more importantly, they actually want to link the two.
And under our XaaS control platform via the magic of IBM Cloud Satellite,
we'll be able to bridge the two and essentially deliver Everything as a Service.
So, why?
If we think about IBM's strategy of AI, Data, and Hybrid cloud, these are the capabilities that clients are asking us for.
The ability to bridge data in a hybrid cloud framework and deliver the AI services.
This flywheel of bringing all these together at the heart is the XaaS control platform and capability.
Thank you.
